Ms January lost 1 stone

Annalie Cook, 28, an account manager from Macclesfield, Cheshire, dropped a dress size using NOVO from Immogenics, a new weight-loss management plan. She's getting married in Barbados in May 2004.

The weight crept on when I got content living with my fiancé, eating the same size portions as him. I'm also a crispaholic. I was size 16 and weighed 11st 13lbs.

Last July, at work, I heard volunteers were needed to go on a trial for NOVO, a new weight-loss system. With my wedding less than a year away, I thought I'd give it a try.

I had to have a blood test to see if I was intolerant of 112 different foods. I was given a personal food sheet which gave me a list of what I could eat, what I should avoid for the first five weeks and what I should cut out for ever. My forbidden list was odd - sesame seeds, white pepper, lentils, aubergine, coffee and olives. But I could eat crisps, chocolate and chips and still lose weight.

At first I had some bad detox symptoms, but these soon went. After a few days I felt much more energetic and started running on a treadmill. Within two months I'd lost a stone. I want to lose more weight so I look good for my beachside wedding and I'm planning to stick to the maintenance plan for ever.
