Taking the
line that excess weight is caused by an immune response to
certain foods which cause inflammation, Novo from Immogenics
is a new test to show which foods may cause this response.
Novo research has shown that excess weight can be caused by
inflammation as part of an immune response to particular foods
that gain access to the bloodstream and reduce the efficiency
of the body to convert stored energy into fat.
Based on the result of a blood analysis that measures the inflammatory
response to over 100 foods, Novo then provides a fully supported
bespoke diet programme for each customer based on eliminating those
foods that cause an inflammatory reaction.
Kamal Bengougam, Immogenics
marketing director, highlights the advantages of the programme, "There
is no need to go hungry, eliminate whole food groups like carbohydrates
or laboriously calculate calorie intake and expenditure."
