Attention! What
was formerly known as is
now called test,
which means: better laboratory equipment, more foods
tested (115 instead of 90), greater results
reliability, "problematic foods" are
now subdivided into three separate groups according to
their ability to provoke an inflammatory response.

Intolerant
or Allergic?
|
| |
|
| |
Food
sensitivity can be divided into two parts: an allergy and
intolerance. |
| |
|
| |
A
food allergy is an immediate, obvious reaction to particular
foods like peanuts, shellfish or strawberries. |
| |
|
| |
Food
intolerance, however, is a slow, chronic inflammatory response
to food you may eat regularly. Everybody's food intolerance
is different. |

Food
Intolerance
|
| |
Contrary
to popular belief, not all food you eat is completely digested
before it enters the bloodstream. |
| |
|
| |
Blood
travels to all parts of your body and undigested, or partly
digested food particles can be transported to all tissue organs. |
| |
|
| |
Your
immune system does not recognise these food particles and
attacks them to try and break them down and disperse them.
This work is done by white blood cells, mainly the neutrophils. |
| |
|
| |
During
this attack, inflammatory chemicals are released which can
cause damage to the surrounding tissues. If the food you are
intolerant to continues to be eaten, severe long-term damage
can occur leading to a wide range of conditions, such as asthma,
irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), migraine,
arthritis, eczema
and weight
problems. |
| |
|
| |
If
troublesome foods can be identified
and removed from the diet, a wide range of symptoms and medical
conditions may improve significantly and, often clear
completely. An additional benefit can be healthy weight loss.

What will the NOVO test results look like?
|
| |
The results will show your
individual reaction to the 115 foods tested. These
foods will be divided into:
|
| |
|
| |
green
foods
|
|
red
foods
|
These
are the foods to which you showed no reaction and
on which you should base your diet exclusively for
the
next
five to twelve weeks. |
|
These
are the foods to which your white blood cells showed a reaction (from mild to very strong).
You should avoid these foods for at least three months
or longer. |
